Pass it by QUICKLY!! It's 60% historical treatise on Arab galley
slavery, 45% extreme cruelty and 5% erotic BDSM. Aldiss set the
standard in such stories and this isn't even in the same universe. 2

This is BDSM writing at its very best. I found myself wholly immersed
in the story. Don Blane paints a bleak, but exciting canvas on the
travails of young women unlucky enough to be born during this
fictional era. Women are mere chattels of men and are punished
severely for the most trifling of faults. A great read. Hope to see
more. 5 out of 5 (lolmam)
The Last Pirate
A lowly galley slave, sold by her Father to save himself and the rest of the family from destitution, Meleta falls victims to the scourge of the provincial seas - pirates.
Taken captive and used in any manner her masters see fit, she even becomes a whip fighter. But changing hands from one master to the next, Meleta attempts to take some control over her life and find again a brief love she'd had so cruelly snatched away. She becomes embroiled in a dangerous game of cat and mouse against the terrible Badr Udeen. Will Meleta escape the drudgery of the slave oar? Will she discover the love of her life again and be spared the hell of hard servitude?
This is a shocking and brutal tale of suffering, slavery and abuse, told amidst the backdrop of desert harems, voluptuous slave girls and cruel, savage slave owners. It is a deliciously hard content novel - true to this author`s style and is one of his best stories to date.
